Hi.

Welcome to my blog.

Everyone has a story. My hope is to inspire others to share the many lessons this life has so we can all get the most from our journeys.

Tutti

Tutti

On a flight from Maine to what is known by a very special person in my life as “ my happy place,” I watched Eat, Pray, Love for the fourth or fifth time.

Several lines took me by surprise this time, on the 4th anniversary since my daughter died. The first and most impressive was “dolce far niente” which translates from Italian to mean “ the sweetness of doing nothing”. That is far from how I can describe what my life has been like these past five months. I am really ready to do lots of nothing. My husband and I finally came to the decision to sell our home on a small lake in Maine. We made many memories there over the past eight years with friends and family. Life is different now; many changes. We are healthy and our family is growing up. It seemed like the best time to move forward in a way I haven’t been ready to until now.

My husband, a building contractor, and I have been wanting a project to do together. After some searching, one came up with the help of some good friends. I won’t say it was a simple process though I will say it has all worked out. And here we are on a special celebration day, in so many ways, to absorb all the gratitude we have for where we are. On our way to a favorite warm spot in the world to rest after months of working and moving. We are not done yet.

Tutti: Tutti is an Italian word literally meaning all or together.

I could not have gotten to this place in my life, 60 years old, without my “village” of family and friends. I admit there are and have been times I resisted the help offered or the need to ask for help. Thank you all. 💗
