Mother's Day 2022

A friend of mine recently used the phrase, “Motherhood is a mixed bag of emotions”. Amen!! I said while weeping. For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a mom. I instinctively knew someday that I would be and don’t remember ever questioning that possibility. I was blessed to birth two children; a boy and a girl. My motherhood journey has forced me to grow in so many ways I could never have foreseen. There have been incredible joys and deep, deep sorrows.

I understand we all have our ups and downs. This year I am able to appreciate, more, the journey itself. I am more aware of the changes maturity brings to relationships with family, friends and community.

Wishing a happy day to all those who “Mother”. Whether it is ourselves, a child or children, family, step family, friends; it’s all important.
